Death Valley——- 1970, Then & Now

Death Valley------- 1970, Then & Now

This is an earlier “me” back in 1970 sitting astride the highway through Death Valley. Yes, it was really hot then and now. But perhaps hotter now. I think I’m making a visual study here of how parallel lines meet at infinity. These were strange philosophical times in the glow of the cultural revolution of the BabyBoomers. I guess I was doing my symbolic part and hoping not to be run over or suffer a heat stroke. Anyway, this isn’t so much about hippie philosophies of aging Boomers as much as it’s just to share a youthful remembrance of perhaps the hottest place of Earth…and there’s more heat to come apparently on the way.

Wild Flowers & Grackle

Wild Flowers & Grackle

Drought denuded grass in center of backyard. In March scattered wild flower seeds common to Texas. Feeling better now. Ah, cool clear water…
