The Kayaker

This is the opening scene of a work in progress. The Kayaker is paddling toward the shore. Various people wonder who he or she is. One powerful “seeing” is that the Kayaker is death and when the kayak reaches the shore, death will collect its next victim for the trip to the other side. However, if the viewer flees the “scene” and avoids direct eyesight contact, death can be postponed. The exploration of this narrative mystery will perhaps one day appear as an Indie short story or novella. For now, contemplate your own “take” on the mysterious visitor to your very vulnerable shore.
